"Where's Maggie?"

We have been humbled by the recent loss of our dear friend Maggie (nickname for the Magellan RoadMate GPS unit that guided us safely throughout New England over the past month). Last week, Holly's car was broken into and Maggie, along with my wonderful iPod, were the victims of theft.

Ironically, Hamilton, MA prides itself on its crime-free neighborhoods.

Good bye Maggie. Goodbye iPod.

Matthew 6:19 - "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal."

Query: is the verse applicable if the items are not "treasures" to you but merely "things" or "tools" or whatever you want to categorize them as other than treasure. ie: is it the posession of them that is not a great thing, or is it placing a value to them above what ought to be placed that puts you into dangerous territory? hmm...i think i'll go blog my thoughts. but sorry that maggie is gone. and the pod.

Ooooohhh sad. Although Andy and I laughed out loud when we read the verse at the end. You're right, they are just "things". But, they were useful as well as fun.

I'm sorry to hear about the gps system "Maggie", and definitely sorry to hear about the IPod. I can't imagine any crime in Hamilton, especially after being up there. I'm glad I got to expereience the gps system once though in our ventures to Essex.
